IKEA, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), voluntarily recalled IKEA Karlstad sofa-beds because the mattress and seat cushions fail to meet mandatory federal open flame standards for mattresses, posing a risk of fire.

To date, there have been no reports of injury associated with the recalled sofa-beds.

The recall involves: IKEA KARLSTAD sofa-bed frames with article number 801-215-12, supplier number 20789 with date stamps (YYWW) 0845 through 0927 located on a label attached to the underside of the sofa-bed frame. The mattress topper is not affected by this recall.

Consumers should stop using the mattress and cushions and contact IKEA to arrange a free installation of a replacement mattress and cushions.
